1900, 1910, 1920 He was in the census with his mother Mary E Irving Brady. His father was Peter L Brady who died before 1920. He had three brothers, Robert, Peter J and Bernard J and a sister Katherine "Katie" Brady Burke. Robert was born in CA and does not appear in the 1930 census, he probaly died prior to that. At one time he got into an argument and was shot by a miner, he survived that incident. Many times he would be drunk and his friends would have to take him home. In those days some of the merchants, (Bob owned his own store), would stock caskets in their stores as it took too long to order one, if someone died. One time, several of his friends took him to his store to sleep it off. They put him in one of the caskets, thinking this would shake him up a bit. He was shot and killed by his brother Patrick Brady probably accidently, Patrick was very upset and wouldn't talk about it. Patrick was never charged with the crime, at the inquest he finally said it was and accident.
