Mr. Thomas Jackson "Tommy" Manning, 54 of Blackshear, passed away late Saturday evening, August 21, 2021, at his residence.

Born in Blackshear, GA on March 15, 1967, he had lived in Pierce County all of his life. Tommy was a 1985 graduate of Pierce County High School. Following his high school graduation, he worked in surveying for a short time before going to work for Gilman Building Products as a millwright. Tommy loved to watch NASCAR and Westerns and enjoyed working on his truck, fishing and just being outdoors. Tommy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who always put his family and others ahead of himself. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

He was the son of the late Ernest Jackson "E.J." Manning and Marlene Manning Strickland.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Susan Carrasco Manning of Blackshear; his daughter, Lisa Marie Manning of Blackshear; his son and daughter-in-law, T. J. & Ruby Manning of Jacksonville; three sisters, Jennifer Manning, Debbie Manning, and Donna Manning (fiance', Chris Chancey) all of Blackshear; his mother-in-law, Margie King of Patterson; a special cousin, Anitra (Russ) DeJaynes of Blackshear; his 5 precious grandchildren, Tyler Anthony Manning, Katelyn Manning, Ansley Manning, Olivia Manning, and Charlie Manning; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Tommy will be held Wednesday afternoon, August 25, 2021, at 2:00 o'clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.

Interment will be in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 until 7 at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Satilla, 808 Evergreen Way, Waycross, GA 31501.

Due to COVID-19, safety precautions such a social distancing and the use of face masks is strongly encouraged.
