Roberta H. Moore went home to be with Jesus on August 19, 2021 at the age of 85. Her family moved to Gardendale when she was 18 months old. She was a life-long member of Gardendale First Baptist Church where she was very involved throughout her lifetime. She was a member of the Lydia Sunday School class.

She enjoyed spending time with her 6 grandchildren and watching them in their various activities, sneaking them money, and giving them ice cream for breakfast. They were absolutely her pride and joy.

One of her favorite things to do was travel with the love of her life, Gene. They have been happily married for 52 years. Some of her favorite trips were to Alaska, Niagara Falls, and Mackinac Island. She loved taking annual trips in Gatlinburg for Thanksgiving where she enjoyed eating at The Apple Barn and Calhoun's. She was an avid dessert fan and loved a good crème brûlée and anything chocolate.

A classic southern woman, she loved getting her hair and nails done on a regular basis and keeping an immaculate and loving home.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Hancock and her brother Bob Hancock.
