He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David Jones, and sister, Bessie Jones-Tolen.
Howard enlisted in the United States Air Force at Vance Air Force Base, Enid, Oklahoma. He was also a Mason.
He married to the love of his live, Pauline M. Jones, for almost Sixty-Six years after meeting her on her front porch.
Howard was an excellent fisherman and golfer. He also enjoyed hunting. He worked for many years, and later retired from Logan
County Aging Service as a Transportation Supervisor. Howard made history as the first black fireman in Guthrie. He worked
for 27 years there and later retired as the Assistant Fire Chief.
Cherishing his precious memories are his loving wife, Pauline J. Jones, two daughters, Rachel D. Jones-Wright (Maurice), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Charlatte A. Jones-Vaultz. Danny
