Frances Merck Parker, 91, passed away peacefully Friday, August 20, 2021.

Born in June 28, 1930 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Jim Corbett Merck and the late Dollie Dickerson Merck. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Carl Parker and was one of nine children. She was retired from LaFrance Industries.

Mrs. Parker will always be loved by her daughter, Angela Swaney (Jamie); grandchildren: Ashley Parker, Dillon Thrasher, Austin Thrasher, Kailin Parker, Hunter Swaney (Merrill), and Braden Swaney; great grandchildren: Jess Burrell, Jasmine Burrell, Jeremy Mays, and Brandon Rice and sister, Bobbie Cothran.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons: Mitchell, Gary and Greg Parker; granddaughter, Christle Parker; brothers: Swain, Jenkins, Mays, and Charles Merck and sisters: Lucille Swaney, June Lyles, and Louise Parker.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday August 27 at Sullivan-King Mortuary with Rev. Mike Foster officiating. Burial will be in New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Friday prior to the service.
