A funeral service for Kathy Wells, of Jacksonville, is scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday, August 23, 2021, at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville. David Hallum will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Piney Grove Cemetery in Jacksonville. Visitation will begin on Sunday, August 22, 2021, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Kathy passed away on August 19, 2021.

She was born in Jacksonville on January 27, 1963, to Billie Jack Wells and Marilyn (Caveness) Wells.

She worked in health care and was employed by many nursing homes in the Jacksonville area. Kathy was a very friendly, kind, caring person. She enjoyed helping the elderly.

She was a member of Seminary Heights Church of Christ in Jacksonville and was very active in her children and grandchildren's lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and cousins, Mary Tate and Lydia Tate.

Left to cherish Kathy's memory are her children; Joshua Boseman of California, Lauran Boseman, and Justin Boseman, both of Jacksonville. Her grandchildren; La'Najah, Zjellan, Erykah, Jayla, and Orion. She is also survived by her brother Bill Wells and father of her children, Melvin Boseman.

Pallbearers will be Jamey S., Joshua B., Justin B., Josh F., Melvin B. and Brandon J.
