Mrs. Billie Jean (Byerley) Green, 85 of Benton, KY passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, KY.
Born Monday, June 8, 1936, in Graves Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Raven Byerley and the late Emma Lou (Burnett) Byerley. She was the wife of the late Boyd Green.
Billie was employed by Walmart for over 40 years, much of her tenure serving as department manager for Fabrics and Crafts in the Benton store. She was member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Benton, KY..
Surviving are daughter, Lou Ann Baggett, husband Teddy of Gilbertsville, KY; son, Jeff Green of Hermitage, TN; grandchildren, Josh Hendrickson, wife Karson of Benton, KY and Jared Hendrickson of Gilbertsville, KY; great grandchildren, Keyton and Khloe Hendrickson both of Benton, KY. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins and a faithful and beloved companion, her Shih Tzu, Tia.
Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Della Ravine Chambers and Louvine Byerley.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY with Rev. George Culp officiating. Interment will follow the service in Benton Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
