William Russell "Bill" Fitzgerald, Jr., 93, passed away, August 21, 2021 at Brookdale Senior Living in Danville. He was born on October 14, 1927 in Danville, son of William Russell Fitzgerald and Mary Cunningham Fitzgerald.
Bill was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was employed by Riverside Roof Company as a sales representative until his retirement. After his retirement he was employed with American National Bank. Hewas a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by a sister, Mary Lee Laprade and a brother, Robert T. Fitzgerald. He is survived by his wife, Betty Fitzgerald; two daughters, Ellen Thomas and Jane Martini (Rick); three grandchildren, Jane O'Rourke, Ellen Despres and Blair Marini; four great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betsy McNichols.
Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
