Herbert was the son of Herbert Elmer Horn and Gertrude Blanche Craven. He attended Ohio State University, and served in the US Navy. Herbert was a general contractor in the state of Florida since 1959. He was a member of St. Catherine's Episcopal Church, and is survived by his wife Carol; daughters, Cheryl Hunt (Robert) of Tallahassee, Marianne Smith of Bradenton, and Alyson Seeger (Brian) of Tampa; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Horn of St. Paul, Minnesota. A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 27th at St. Catherine's Episcopal Church, 502 Druid Hills Rd., Temple Terrace, Florida.
