Jayne Hoffman, born January 25, 1921, left us on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 100 years "young." She was preceded in death by her parents Isaac and Cora; husband of 64 years, Merlin; son, Ron; and siblings Henry, Adrian, Maurice, Caroline, and Gerry. Jayne was the oldest of eight siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Candy (Tom) Rinkevich; sister, Shirley Heidema; brother, Jim (Gloria) Cole; daughter-in-law, Sandy; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, with whom she took great delight; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was always near to love and care for family, giving unlimited love to all. She was a "Rosie the Riveter" during WWII. Merlin and Jayne were partners in Hoffman Electric Co. for many years. They loved to travel both the USA and other countries. Her relationship with her New Apostolic Church family fulfilled her, and she realized a lifelong dream of helping to build a new church. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, Michigan. A private family funeral will be held followed by interment at Floral View Memorial Gardens.
