He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and worked twenty-five years for Entergy and retired in 2007, as Director of Purchasing.
He was a member of the Assembly of God and enjoyed playing golf and watching the Razorbacks. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Jordet; Janell Garrison; and two brothers, Richard Garrison and Larry Rentfroe.
Roger is survived by his two sons, Parker Garrison of Jacksonville, FL; Dustin Garrison of Russellville; a sister, Evelyn Garrison of Russellville, AR; two grandchildren, Shiloh and Adrianne Garrison, both of Jacksonville, FL.
Visitation will begin at 10:00AM at Humphrey Chapel on Saturday, September 4, 2021, and will be followed by a memorial service at 11:00am. Rev. Robert Heflin and Mr. Jim Bob Humphrey will officiate.
Full military honors will follow the memorial at the funeral home and will be presented at the by the Rogers-Rye Post #2283 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Burial will follow at Solo Cemetery.
