Ira Cregg Moore was born on December 5,1931 to the parents of Ira Moore Sr. and Effie Bullock Moore in Granville County, NC

He attended the Granville County Public Schools where he also graduated High School. Cregg accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Creedmoor, NC. He later joined Davis Chapel Baptist Church in Stovall, NC after marriage to Annie Mae Steed.

Cregg was employed at Duke Medical Center in Environmental Services Department and retired after many faithful years at the Duke facility.

Cregg leaves to cherish his memory, eight children; Barbara Solomon, Mary A. Wilson, Maxine Daniel (Thomas), Robert Sneed Jr., Nelson Sneed (Sara), Ray Charles Sneed, Ricky Sneed (Belinda), Elvira Coles, 26 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.

Graveside service will be conducted 12:00 P.M. Thursday August 26,2021 at Davis Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday August 25,2021 in Betts & Son Funeral Home Chapel.

The family of Ira Moore express their deep heartfelt appreciation for the warmth, expression of sympathy, and the many acts of kindness extended to them during their time of bereavement.
