Deborah Kay Baker, 71, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at her residence in Indianapolis. She was born September 14, 1949 in Indianapolis to the late Max Howard Dean and Peggy Mae Stanley.
Debbie retired after 26 years at Indiana Bell ( now AT & T), where she served in various capacities such as a data technician, phone operator and customer relations. She cherished time with her family-her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is loved and missed by her children, Sherri Leeper (Rich), Amy Baker (Roy) and Stephen (Carrie) Baker; brother, James Dean; two sisters, Diana Geralds and Karen (Jose) Ramirez; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and her beloved dog Annie Mae.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2011, Edward W. Baker; son, Edward W. Baker, Jr; brother Richard Dean and adored dog, Sassy Kay.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 25 from 12 - 1:00 PM at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, followed by the celebration of life at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association.
