Shawn Edwinna (Marley) Madlock went to her heavenly home on August 19th, 2021 at St. Francis hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Shawn was born on September 8th, 1963 in Norman, Oklahoma. She graduated from SWOSU with an associates degree in Science. Later in life, she earned her Bachelors degree in nursing at Grand Canyon University in Phoeniz, Arizona. She was Valedictorian of her class and made many friends that she continued to visit with to this day. She worked at Banner Hospital for many years. After moving to Tulsa, she worked at St. Francis Main Hospital where she made a vast array of friends with co workers and administrators who feel a great loss along with us. She sent cards to her superiors routinely thanking them for bonuses, raises, or just to thank them for her job. She truly loved her job and her coworkers. She never complained about people or her work. She had just received a promotion and was overjoyed. She wanted to plant good seeds in people, inspire them and love them. She trained many nurses and loved helping them to feel comfortable in their jobs. Shawn was married to Gary Madlock for 16 happy years. Gary called her the absolute perfect wife and respected her greatly. They had a motto to get up everyday and try to out love the other one. She was an awesome person and so loving. She was the most organized person with many lists and jobs. We often jokes that if her list of the day was to sweep at 5:30AM, she would set her alarm and did it. She was a great cook and never failed to take food to her parents on Sundays. Her shoes are hard to fill.

Shawn is survived by her husband Gary; son, Landry Lake and wife Trista of Fayetteville, AR; step son, Jake Madlock and wife Jenni of Chino Valley, AZ; mother, Win and Conrad Coussens of Tulsa, OK; sister, Cheryl Russell and husband Jake of Talihina, OK; nephew, Rance Linker and wife Delila of Tuskahoma, OK, niece Ketra Burns and husband Brett of Muse, OK; grandchildren, Caleb, Karen, Megan, and Abby; special "grandpup" River; nieces and nephews, Daniel, Alexis, Owen, Cy, and Tru.
