Mr. John David Lambert, 71, of Sylvester, died on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Phoebe North Campus in Albany.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel, interment will follow in the Lambert Family Cemetery. The Rev. Gordon Poole will officiate.

Mr. Lambert was born on November 19, 1949 in New Hampshire, to the late Andrew Leon and Rita Stone Lambert. He had lived Worth County most of his life and was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy. Mr. Lambert retired from the Marine Corps Logistic' Base after 30 years of service where he worked as the Warehouse Supervisor. He enjoyed watching racing, and reading, but most importantly spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Lambert was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Tompkins Lambert of Sylvester; children, April Lambert of South Carolina, Scott Fowler, Shannon Patterson and Miranda Davis all of Sylvester; sisters, Mary Lambert of CO., and Elizabeth Lambert of Vermont; 16 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Lambert was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Lambert on July 7, 1982 and a brother, Stephen Lambert.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the service hour at Banks Funeral Home.
