Edward Earl Arnold, 90, of Roanoke, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Jeff Davis Living Center. He was born to his late parents, Auvern and Emma Arnold on August 17, 1931 in Batson, TX. He enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. He was proud of his service in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, where he served as a Medic. Most of all, he was a very proud Christian and promoted Christ to anyone and everyone that would listen.

He is survived by one son, Edward "Ed" William Arnold (Nikki) of Westlake; one daughter, Bonnie Morvant of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Edward is preceded in death by his wife Shirley Arnold; one son, James Douglas Arnold; one daughter, Deborah Fontenot; four brothers, Dudley, Douglas, Bobby, Lloyd; and four sisters, Norma Jean, Margaret, Joyce, and LaVergne.

Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 10:00am, with Bro. Darrell Hieronymus officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh on Monday, August 23, 2021, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 8:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
