Funeral services were held Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Clayton United Methodist Church in Clayton with Reverend Stephen Doss and Reverend Larry Teasley officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Clayton directing. Burial followed in the Clayton City Cemetery with a private family graveside. The family received friends from 1:00 until 1:45 at the church.
Mr. Bobby was born September 3, 1955, in Troy, Alabama, the son of the late Gloria Lindsey. Bobby loved his grandchildren more than life. He loved attending and watching racing and has owned his 1969 Camaro since he was sixteen years old. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a die-hard Alabama football fan and attended Clayton United Methodist Church. He worked at American Building for 44 years and retired as a Maintenance Supervisor.
Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Virginia Lynn Patterson Lindsey; son, Robby Lindsey (Kelly) of Clayton; daughter, Krystal Ascher (Anthony) of Milton, Florida; sister, Pam Helms (Donnie) of Eufaula; three grandchildren, Kameryn Ascher, Aiden Ascher, and Sawyer Lindsey.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that you make a memorial contribution to a charity of your choice.
Pallbearers include Dusty Richards, Charles Sewell, Tristan Moseley, Brad Helms, Cody Helms, and Robby Lindsey.
