Paul A. Reynolds, Jr. passed away precisely where he wanted to be – in the comfort his home on March 31, 2020 after a long bout with Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Paul was born to Paul A. Reynolds, Sr. and Ruby Dell Norton in December of 1949 in Salt Lake City, UT. His mother passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident when he was only nineteen months old. His father then married Adele Stock who helped raise all four children.

After graduating from South High School, he served two years for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Brazil South Mission. Paul then spent six years in the Coast Guard Reserves, where he was presented the Coast Guard Expert Rifleman Medal and was honorably discharged at the rank of Machinist Technician Second Class.

He married the love of his life, Deeann Loveridge, in September of 1973 in the Salt Lake Temple. He worked for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 38 years in Meeting House Technical Service. He and Deeann were called to an inner-city service mission in the Portuguese speaking Mountain Shadows Ward.

Paul was a remarkably gentle man. His hands were constantly in motion serving those around him, and service was the way he showed his love for everyone. He adored his family, especially his wife who took care of him during cancer, a stroke and other health issues. His love of the Savior is the only thing that surpassed his love of family. He was willing to serve in his church in any capacity and did so with dedication and love.

We wish to extend our love and appreciation to Paul's care team: Allison, Ashley, Susan, Deborah and Heather from Inspiration Home Health and Hospice for their excellent care and support.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, his older brother Gary, and a grandson David.

He is survived by his wife Deeann, son Joseph (Melanie) Reynolds, daughter Laurie (David) Walker, son Timothy (Emily) Reynolds, ten grandchildren, brother Larry Reynolds, and sister Pat (Eldon) Griffiths.

Private funeral services will be held. Interment will be at Memorial Holladay Cemetery.
