Billie Faye Quinn Brown passed away peacefully under the loving and faithful care of her husband, Ted on August 12, 2021.

Billie's life will be honored on August 16th at 2:00 pm at Brookwood Baptist Church in Jacksonville, NC officiated by Rev. Ryan Hearn. Friends and family are invited to attend. Masks and social distancing are appreciated. Graveside service will follow for the family at Onslow Memorial Park also in Jacksonville.

Billie is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ted Lanier Brown; son, Kyle Ted Brown and his wife Melissa Karen Spence of Jacksonville, NC; daughter, Greta Brown Quinn and husband David Shephard Quinn, Jr. of Newport, NC; four grandchildren, David Shephard Quinn III, Charles Lanier Quinn, Leah Spence Brown, and Andrew Spence Brown; sisters, Ann Quinn Lanier of Lyman, NC and Judy Lane Rouse of Rose Hill, NC; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Guthrie and Judi Brown of Jacksonville, NC. She also had a number of beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Billie is preceded in death by her parents, Owen William Quinn and Mary Lillie Burton Quinn of Chinquapin, NC.

On October 25th, 1950, Billie was born to loving parents. She attended East Duplin High School where she and Ted met. In 1971, Billie and Ted were married at Sharon Baptist Church in Chinquapin. They began their married life together living in Chapel Hill, NC where she worked while Ted finished his degree. In 1977, they moved to Jacksonville where Billie worked at home as a devoted wife and mother. She also volunteered many hours in the service of God at Brookwood Baptist Church. After finishing an Associate Degree in 1997 at Coastal Carolina Community College, Billie worked as a Case Manager at the Onslow County Department of Social Services and retired from that position in 2012.

Billie was an avid crafter who loved quilting, basket-making, and art projects. She spent her free time working at the church office, serving in the nursery, helping in VBS, keeping Sunday School records, and sent many cards as a part of a card-writing ministry called Caring Hearts. She was a quiet, humble, dedicated, and reliable servant in the church. She spent vacations outdoors with Ted visiting national and state parks. The biggest joy of her life was spending time with her grandchildren.
