Gregory W. Haley, age 72, went to be with the Lord on August 15, 2021. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, the third of four sons, to James B. and Helen Basila Haley.

Greg is survived by his loving spouse, Maria de los Angeles Haley; children, Dr. Richard J. Haley (Raquel); Elizabeth A. Martinez (David), Gregory M. Haley (Adriana), Marisol H. Ramirez (Jose), and Sarah H. Valdez (Carlos); his grandchildren, Marie, Victoria, Caroline, Catherine, Jose, Elena, Sophia, Haley, and Nikolas; his brothers, CDR James R. Haley, U.S. Navy, (ret.) (Geraldine), Nicholas B. Haley, and George T. Haley (Usha); his nieces, Lorraine Knitt (Brian), and Elena Haley; his nephew Alexander N. Haley; as well as numerous cousins and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Helen; and his beloved granddaughter Lisa Michelle Haley.

Greg graduated from the University of Texas at Austin School of Pharmacy. He then worked several years at his family's downtown business, Basila Pharmacy. He also worked tirelessly at the Barrio Comprehensive Family Care Center serving San Antonio's Westside community, La Clinica Amistad, and at Northeast Baptist Hospital. Greg eventually retired in 2015 to spend more time with family and friends and to pursue his varied interests and hobbies. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having honorably served his nation during The Vietnam War.

Greg was an active parishioner at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church serving as both a Eucharistic minister and lector, he was a 4th Degree Knight for the Knights of Columbus Council # 8302 serving as the first Grand Knight, and as both an ACTS Director and Core member. Greg was a member of the church Finance Council and also held various offices in the church's Mens Club.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.; all services will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church - 4603 St John's Way.

Interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
