Brownville Vital Records lists siblings with parents (1830); Tenas (or Zenas?) Bosworth Rogers, son of Shepherd Rogers & Elizabeth Sidney Whidden, was born 16 Jan 1830 in Brownville, Piscataquis, Maine and died 4 Oct 1896.

According to Virginia Howard of East Granby, CT: Tenas & Mary lived in Brownville until 1861 when they settled in Dover and built the home in East Dover; he enlisted as a private in Capt J S Harlow's company K 31st Regiment of Maine Infantry on the 21st of Feb 1864 to serve three years or the duration of the war; he was discharged from service June 1st 1865 from U S General Hospital in Augusta, ME;

By reasons of Surgeon's certificate of disability arising from wounds received in battle near Petersburg Sep 1864, the family moved to Dover Village in 1868, where he erected a home on Essex Street, now occupied by Mrs. Jennie Crommett;

Being a carpenter and brick mason he was much interested in the improvement and buildings of the town, having built several homes, among them being two on High Street, now owned by Fred Moore and Edith Noyes;

According to The Lost Rogers Families of Sharon, Stoughton, and Taunton, Massachusetts called Zenas and born 1830;
