He married about 1923 to Beulah Elizabeth Wisely.
They raised Pauline, a niece, daughter of Beulah's sister Daily.

MURPHYSBORO - Virgil Yearian, 92, died Saturday, March 9, 1996 in St. Joseph Memorial HOspital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro with the Rev. James Easton officiating. Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Tower Grove Cemetery in Murphysboro.
Memorials may be made to the Pate Chapel Baptist Church in Murphysboro.
He was born Nov. 20, 1903 to Fred and Fannie (Romind)(sp) Yearian, both deceased. He married Beulah Wisely and she died Oct. 22, 1993.

Survivors include nieces, Gerry Summers and Thelma Herring, both of Murphysboro and other nieces and nephews.
