Dr. Frederick Norris "Skip" Burt, age 85 of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on August 18, 2021. He was born on February 14, 1936 to Frederick Murray and Hattie Mae Ready Burt.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Crossett.

Skip was a graduate of Crossett High School, the University of Arkansas at Monticello, formerly Arkansas A&M, and University of Arkansas Medical School. He practiced medicine for 51 years before retiring in 2015. He did medical missionary work in Guatemala over a period of three years. He served his country as a Captain in the United States Air Force.

Skip was a kind and generous man who will be remembered by many people whose lives he touched. He was an avid student of the Bible who loved to teach God's Word to others. He loved his family and will be remembered by them with heartfelt love.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Don Henry Burt.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Elizabeth Burt; three children, Beth Johnson (Johnny), Justin Burt, and Allen Burt (Elizabeth); eight grandchildren, Zachary Burt, Jay-Tyler Burt, Weslie Burt, Emma Burt, Noah Johnson, Thomas Burt, Jennifer McLean, and Amanda Ellis (Dewayne);one niece, Linda Burt McHutchison; one nephew, Don David Burt along with very special friends of many years who were a part of the family.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Egypt Cemetery in Milo, Arkansas with Rev. Matt Daniels officiating and under the direction of Jones Funeral Home.
