AGE 62 YEARS
Charles C. "Chuck" Johnston, of 135 Poplar Road, St. Marys, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 16, 2021, at Hamot Medical Center in Erie. He was a son of the late Clifton and Marjorie Gahr Johnston.
On October 2, 1987, in Ridgway, he married the love of his life, Pamela Salter Johnston, who survives. Together they shared over thirty years of love, laughter, and happiness.
He was employed at Ridgway Powdered Metals. Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed making wine, the Miami Dolphins, and watching wrestling. He always took the opportunity to take his father-in-law on a tour around the Peninsula in Erie and also enjoyed taking rides in his Jeep. A truly irreplaceable man, Chuck will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Along with his wife Pam, he is survived by a son; Shane (Angela) Johnston of Pittsburgh, one brother, Duey Geitner of Ridgway, two sisters; Marlene Johnston of St. Marys, and Kathy (Joe) Predko of Ridgway, his mother and fatherin-law; Ken and Helen Salter, two brothers-inlaw; his 2 nieces; 3 nephews and many great and great greats. Chuck is also survived by his beloved dog, "Harley".
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jessie in infancy, three brothers; Clifton "Jack" Johnston, Raymond Johnston, and David Johnston, and by two sisters; Becky Glatt and Wanda Nashadka.
Funeral Services for Charles "Chuck" Johnston will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the LynchGreen Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
