Joshua L. Hamilton, age 18 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest Friday, November 19, 2010 in Stratford. Born in Bridgeport, Joshua was a life-long resident of this city. He was a recent graduate of Bassick High School and a stellar member of the basketball team. Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Jonathan Searight and Jacqueline Hamilton both of Bridgeport; five brothers, Jonathan, Jr., Jamal, Jarod and Jordan, all of Bridgeport and Jakeem of Texas; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday 6 p.m. at the Cathedral of Miracles UFWB Church, 285 Wilmot Ave., Bridgeport with Pastor Leonard Green officiating. Interment will take place Monday 10 a.m. in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends are invited to the viewing Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the church. The arrangements have been entrusted to Morton's Mortuary, 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport. The family requests that any donations be made to the funeral home.
