Mrs. Thomas was born on Tuesday, March 27,1962, in Dublin, Georgia, to her parents, Ella Mae Smith and Eddie Lewis, Sr.
Brenda was a graduate of Dublin High School. She was a member of Everlasting Gospel Non-Denominational Church where she served as unparalleled usher. Brenda served as the Director of Residential Services, a founding member of Dublin Housing Authority (DHA) residential council and leader of community services for DHA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Meldon "Bud" Thomas, daughter, Tawala Thomas, sister, Lola Mae Dawson, four brothers Ronnie Peacock, Sr., Billy Jordan, Eddie Lewis, and Jeffrey Lewis a devoted sister-in-law, Mary O. Daniel, and by a niece, Kimberly J. Coney.
She leaves to cherish her life and precious memories, a daughter, April N. Smith, five sons,Tavis T. Thomas, Tyvoris T. Thomas, Roverto M. Thomas, Eric D. Thomas, and Deric L. Thomas, a goddaughter, Joneisha Blackshear, all of Dublin, Georgia. Brother, Alfonzo (Lavonia) Lewis, sister Gwendolyn Lewis, three grandsons, Andre, Karter and Jayden, her mother, Ella Mae Smith, father, Eddie Lewis Sr., two sisters, Mary (Ebb) O'Neal, Patricia Jordan, brother, Thinnel Dawson, special niece, Tamela (Walter) White Sr, Shameka Coney, Shawanda Dawson, Daniel (Magretta) Dawson, Alfredian (Mickey) Flanders, Tyvoski (Corretta) O'Neal, Anthony O'Neal, Latoya Peacock, Ronnie Peacock, Jr., Santrell Jordan, life-long friends,:Sherlinda Davis, Angie Gilbert, Elaine J. Ware, Carol Wiggins and a host of great nieces and nephews.
