Mike was a lifetime resident of Como Park, attending St. Andrew's grade school. He graduated from St. Agnes High School in 1961. "Mr. Fitz" was a popular English teacher and coach at St. Agnes and St. Bernard's High Schools in St. Paul for over four decades. He was inducted into the St. Agnes School Hall of Fame in September 2020.
