Mr. Gary Dean Wallace, age 62, of Swords Creek, Virginia, passed away Sunday (August 15, 2021) in a Roanoke, Virginia hospital. Born December 15, 1958 in Maryland, he was a son of Trula Fuller Wallace of Belfast, Virginia and the late Jackie Dean Wallace. He was of the Freewill Baptist faith and enjoyed woodworking. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Leisa Jean Wallace.
In addition to his mother, survivors include three children, Brian Wallace and wife, Tessa of Swords Creek, Stephanie Burrell and husband, Frank of Tennessee, and Tamara Cooper and husband, Michael of West Virginia; one brother, Kenneth Wallace and wife, Tammy of Belfast; and one sister, Connie Compton and husband, Kevin of Bristol; seven grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen Musick officiating. Interment will follow in the Hess Cemetery on Chestnut Ridge, Virginia.
Relatives and friends will be pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home on Friday from 1 – 2 PM.
