BOLIVAR - Frances M. Green, 96, of 109 Water Plant Road, passed away Tuesday (Aug. 17, 2021) at the Hart Comfort House, Wellsville, following a brief illness.

Born May 25, 1925, in Scio, she was the daughter of Delbert and Dorthea Schram White. She married George A. Green on July 31, 1943, in Bolivar. Mr. Green preceded her in death Feb. 4, 2019.

Frances was called to meet with her Lord Jesus in route through the footprints in the sand, to be with her God, our Father in Heaven, and her husband George, to sitteth on the right hand beside still waters and at the end of the footsteps, she never fell, for the Lord our Savior carried her on his back the rest of the way.

Fran was a worker in many ways, mostly a cashier at the Park & Shop Service Stores in Bolivar and Portville for many years. She was always working around the house, cooking and working outside, gardening and yard work.

Fran was a member of the Bolivar United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two children, Romaine (Gerald) Bonney and George F. "Sac" (Pat Williams) Green, both of Bolivar; five grandchildren, Deborah Scholla, Jeffrey (Deann) Bonney, Ashley, Sabrina and Chad Brownell; six great-grandchildren, Meghan (Ashley Sexton) Scholla, Jaxon (Chantel Good) Bonney, Nikolas Bonney, Elijah Brownell, Patricia and Samuel Logue; three siblings, Howard (Linda) White of Wellsville, Judy White of Syracuse and Dawn Griffith of North Carolina; and two special friends, Kathie Timpano and Pearl Stark.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Devon Brownell; nine siblings; and her beloved dog, Max.

Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday (Aug. 20, 2021) at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc., Bolivar. Funeral and committal services will follow at 3 p.m. Kathie Timpano, CLS, Wellsville, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Bolivar.
