Teresa Morales, 73, of Interlachen passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka following a brief illness.
Teresa was born in Maunabo, Puerto Rico and had lived in Interlachen 32 years, coming from Philadelphia, PA. She was a Christian, and enjoyed taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed the beach, shopping at Roses and Walmart, and listening to Reggae music.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Figueroa and Vincenta Morales; two sons, Alexes Morales and Ruben Morales, Jr.; a daughter, Wanda Morales; and a grandson, Jose Ortiz.
Surviving are her husband, Ruben Morales, Sr. of Interlachen; two daughters and a son-in-law, Elizabeth Morales (Ulysses) of Philadelphia, PA, and Judy Morales of Interlachen; numerous brothers and sisters; 25 grandchildren, including Teresa, Jose, Joseph, Natasha, Jessica, Ulysses, Donald, Esteban, Carlos, Josh, Joseph-Chep, Alex Jr., Grace, and A.J., and Augustino, Joey, Eric, and Leann, whom she raised; 59 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 17th at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka with Pastor Carlos Reyes officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery.
