Stephen J. Hogan was born December 19, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Joseph and Irene (Kraft) Hogan. He entered into rest in the comfort of his home in Neosho on August 18, 2021, following a sudden illness at the age of 76. Stephen was a graduate of WSU and while living in Wichita, he was a licensed insurance agent. He moved to Neosho in 1994 from Wichita and worked as general manager of Ozark Homes. He enjoyed his home and playing golf. Stephen was a very charitable and giving man and enjoyed helping others and volunteered his time doing that through the Talkington Foundation. He was a member of St. Canera Catholic Church. Stephen and Linda (Gillam) were married on Sept. 18, 1973 in Wichita, Kansas and she survives of the home. In addition to his wife of 48 years, he is survived by five children, Melissa (Max) Hermann, Robert (Renee) Williams, Joseph (Gina) Hogan, Daniel (Amy) Hogan and Stephenie (Billy) Roberts; fifteen grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He is preceded in death by a son, Timothy Hogan, his parents, a sister, Sherry Sauder and a brother, Jack Hogan.
