Obituary:

Tommy Fitzgerald Johnson, a longtime resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died unexpectedly on August 16, 2021. He was born to Adella Johnson on June 3, 1963, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Tommy was a proud graduate of the Howard High Hustlin' Tigers', class of 1983. He worked for Seaboard Poultry Plant for over ten years. His most recent employment was at the La Quinta Inn and Suites in Lexington, Kentucky, where he was respected and admired by his co-workers. His family will always remember the days he worked at the bar-b-que stand across from Howard High School and Yum Yum's Egg Roll stand where he often brought home bags of bar-b-que and egg rolls after work.

Tommy was a valued member of the Gappa Alpha Phi Fraternity (The Gappers) since the Fall of 1982, where the motto is "Gappa Alpha Phi Until the Day I Die." Tommy was known by his brothers as "Polar J" and "20 Below" because he was "Ice Cold". Rest in peace Gapper #6.

Over the years Tommy had other nicknames such as: "Tommy Rich, Plucky, Poolroom, Bedroom, and Pimp". His favorite song was "Return of the Mack"! Tommy loved life and his family tremendously. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
