Amanda was the daughter of John

Bitty Ma was a member of the First
Baptist Church, Afton, Ok.
She was a devoted Christain & a
loving wife, mother & grandmother.
Bitty Ma enjoyed sewing, cooking,
keeping house & working in her yard.
Her and Papa lived on the farm when
I was growing up and we visited all
most every Sunday afternoon after
church. She would have a delicious home
cooked lunch. The meat was what they
raised, either chicken, ham or beef.
The vegetables were so good, fresh
from her garden. Bitty Ma and Papa drank
iced tea, that was such a treat, as Mom
and Dad never liked tea. We would go with
them and some of Mom's sisters, and their
families to Arkansas and pick strawberries.

frozen strawberries with real cream.
We would also have huge family 4th of
July celebrations, going to White River

the glass bottles, nice and cold.
She sewed beautifully and didn't have
to have a pattern. Bitty Ma made all my
We would meet on Saturdays at the feed
store in town and she would let me pick
out the sack design so she could make me

Bitty Ma and Papa were the only grandparents
that I had and knew. They were so special and
when they moved into town, just down the
street, I loved getting to visit with them each
day. I mowed their lawn and would go to the store
for her when she needed something. She never did
learn how to drive, nor did Mom.

Bitty Ma and Papa were wonderful Christian
The families had so much fun and truly
