He graduated from Brighton High school in Rochester, NY in 1971. He then went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from State University College in Brockport, NY. Michael worked as a credit collection analyst for several commercial finance companies.
He enjoyed the game of golf - always looking to play his best. He also enjoyed spending time with his dogs.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Leonard Caldwell of Rochester, NY; mother, Winifred Anne Hanby-Swales Caldwell; previous wife, Anne C. Caldwell; step-daughters, Amy Morris, Kelly Morris; sister, Mary Caldwell of Rochester, NY; and brother-in-law, George Sofia of Rochester, NY.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Debra M. Caldwell; sisters, Gail Sofia of Rochester, NY, Carol (Luis) Vega of Boston, MA; brothers, Patrick (Laura) Caldwell of Rochester, NY, Terry Caldwell of Rochester, NY; sister-in-law, Barbara Jean Miller of Woodstock, GA, Amelia Miller of Marietta, GA, Amanda Miller of Marietta, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
A long time member of Transfiguration Catholic Church in Marietta, Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 14th at 2:00 PM. Interment immediately following Mass at Enon Cemetery, Old Hwy 5 in Woodstock, GA.
