Martha was married to Milton Slater on October 22, 1946; they were married for 53 years until his death in 2000.
Martha is survived by her sisters Pauline Angell and Gloria Kalaborn and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother Raymond Spencer Jr.
