Laurie was born in Bristol, Connecticut, on January 28, 1943, to Velma Louise and John Laurie Wiggins. She was the oldest of five daughters who were affectionately known as the "Wiggins Sisters." Laurie attended Manatee High School in Bradenton, Florida, where she was a member of the 1960's "Sugar Cane's" dance team.
Laurie is survived by her three daughters and their husbands, Connie Smith (Donnie), Valerie Ellery (Gregg), Christina Cruz (Juan); twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; four sisters, Valerie Moore (Eugene), Jonna Alfonso (Danny), Betsy Bouwhuizen (Herman), Hallie Anson; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and lifetime friends, all of whom loved her dearly.
In addition to her parents, Velma and John, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger Alan Hill, and her sweet son, Ryan Alan Hill.
