He received his Masters Degree in 1961 from Penn State University. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lynne A. Bargar of Saegertown, Pa., and Denise Andrews – Smith of Orion, Mich.; and two grandchildren, Joshua John Bargar and Sarah Lynne Bargar, both of Saegertown. From Dave "Rocky" Nelson '60: The Delta Sigma Lambda Alumni Association is one brother less with the passing of John Andrews. He was not only a fraternity brother to me, but also a brother-in-law as he was married to my sister for about 10 years. He did Sig Tau proud with 2 stints in Vietnam. John was house president his senior year and my roommate for 2 years at 403 S. Allen. Cause of death was pancreatic cancer and it took him quickly; about 3 months from diagnosis. Sig Tau is not mentioned in the obit because neither one of his daughters knew the name of his fraternity. I was vacationing in Europe with my wife most of September, otherwise I would have filled in that blank. From me, Hipps: John has been a member in good standing since we instituted dues in 1994.
