Velma Romines, 86, of Russellville died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1998, at Stella Manor Nursing Home.

She was a native of Paris, daughter of the late Murdy Ola Paschal and Warren Grandison McCoy, member of the Presbyterian Church and former employee of the state of California.

She is survived by one daughter, Lana Billingsley of Dover; one son, James Romines of Bakersfield, Calif.; three sisters, Rachel Romines of Paris, Mary Isabell of Russellville and Lesta Rhea Hice of Bishop, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston with Rev. Bob Isrell officiating. Burial was in the Caulksville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Shawn Baker, Matt Taylor, Mark Ross, Jay Smith, Jimmy Stephens, and Ricky Koster.
