Carp Lake -- Michael G. Flemming, 36, of Carp Lake died early Sunday, Aug. 11, 1996 at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey following an extended illness.
He was born in Rogers City the son of Gordon and Geraldine (Bisson) Flemming. He married Margaret Fisher (Schiller) June 8, 1996. Mr. Flemming was self employed as a carpenter working in the constrution trade for many years. He was very active with the Paradise Lake Association and the Carp Lake Township Board. He loved the out-of-doors and loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by his wife Margaret, one son, Larry Flemming, one stepson, Larry Schiller, one stepdaughter, Susan Mallory and a grandson, Brady Mallory, his parents Gordon and Geraldine Flemming, two brothers, Randy Flemming and Dennis Flemming, two sisters Tammy and her husband Christopher Honeysette and Lisa and her husband Michael Noffze and their families.
The family will receive callers at the Nordman Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Nordman Funeral Home. Rev. Keith Schneider will officiate. Burial will take place in Carp Lake Cemetery. The family has asked that memorial contributions be given to the Carp Lake Township Park Playground Equipment Fund. Envelopes are available from the funeral home.
