Mrs. Lucy Mae Walker was born October 31, 1923, to the late Robert and Elizabeth Woodland in Tipton County. She departed her life on August 10, 2021, at her residence in Brownsville, TN.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Walker will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021, at 12:00 noon, at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Chapel in Brownsville, TN. Burial will follow at the Lower Salem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Brownsville, TN. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home Chapel.

Lucy Walker was married to the late Zack Walker, Sr. They married in 1944 and were married until he passed away in 1966. She did farm work and was a homemaker. She was a faithful member of Oakview Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memories her five daughters, Josie Davis, Idella Walker, Johnnie Walker, of Brownsville, TN, Geneva Woods of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Anna Faye (Charles) Woods of Waukegan, Illinois; five sons, Zack Walker, Jr. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Donnell Walker, John D. (Martina) Walker both of Chicago, IL, Martin (Dinecha) Walker, Allen Walker both of Brownsville, TN; two sisters, Katherine Wilder of Decatur, IL, Pearline Weddles of Stackton, CA. She also leaves a legacy of love for her 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elizabeth Woodland; one daughter, Hattie Mae Walker; five sisters, Mary Shelley, Ada Dickerson, Anna Bell Britton, Thelma Jones, and Josie B. Yates.

Pallbearers for the service Jerome Field, Chris Shaw, Curtis Shaw, Donnell Walker, Jr., Martin Walker and John Wills. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be given to the charity of the donor's choice. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
