ROBERT ALLISON TAKEN BY DEATH
Andrews—Funeral services for Charles Robert “Bob” Allison, 54, who died at his home here on Saturday, October 29, 1949 after a lingering illness, were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in the Church of God here with the Rev. Glover Ledford of Cleveland, Tennessee officiating.
A native of Macon County, he had been engaged in the automobile business in Sylva for 16 years and in Andrews and Murphy for 13 years.
Surviving are the widow, the former Miss Ethel Inman of Haywood County; three daughters, Mrs. Frank Driggers of Eustis, Florida, Mrs. Ruby Lambert, Mrs. Kenneth Jones of Andrews; six sons, Harold of Morganton, Robert of Old Fort, Jim, Ralph, Keith and Kelly of Andrews.
Also four brothers, Luther of Cherokee, Jesse of Asheville, Frank and Arnold of Sylva; one sister, Miss Nellie Allison of Sylva, and 10 grandchildren.
Employees of the Dickey Motor Company of Murphy were pallbearers.
Ivie Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
