He respected his fellow service men in all branches of the military. His children remember their dad talking to Marty and Scott about their military days. Mark was a proud and patriotic American.

After Mark completed his service in the Army, he worked for several companies before finding his home of thirteen years at Integrity Trade Services as the Gulf Coast Director. He referred to Integrity as his baby and enjoyed going to work each day.

In 2002, Mark met Deborah De Los Santos through their mutual friends, Steve and June. Mark and Deborah went on to have two wonderful children, son, Marcus and daughter, Skyler whom Mark referred to as " baby- girl". He was a loving father, a great friend and a wonderful loving son. Raising his children was the most challenging, bravest and rewarding accomplishment. He was a proud father. Mark enjoyed coaching his son's baseball team for many years and that brought him joy. He enjoyed golfing, cooking and taking the kids to the park along with the family dog, Judy. Mark enjoyed going to church on Sunday's and remained very active in his Church. He founded the "Stand Down with Faith" Military Ministry and served on the Safety Team at Gateway. His greatest reward in life was helping others.
