Erlin Parten was born May 14, 1920 in Waxahachie, Texas. He passed away July 10, 2013.

Preceded in death by his father, Earnest, mother, Retter Tomerlin; (Fannie, Retter's sister who raised him after Retter passed away when Marshall was 1 year old) brother, Melvin and sisters, Earnestine, Tommy Sue, Betty Jo, and Nadine.

He was among friends and relatives when he passed, and leaves behind, Betty Bynum (first wife) and four children, granddaughter and great grandchildren, Elisabeth Lauterbach-Parten (second wife) and three children, Teresa, Janice and Carl, granddaughter and grandson.

Marshall was a WWII Veteran, U.S. Navy Seabee's, a Graduate from The University of Texas and a Professional Engineer and Professional Land Surveyor in Texas for over 50 years. Following long career and retirement from the City of Fort Worth, he ran a successful engineering and surveying business. He spent his last four years at the Remington Senior Center in Valley Ranch where he made many friends.

He will be laid to rest next to his mother and father at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery Section of Love...RFH
