David Lee Richardson, age 82, went to his heavenly home on August 14,2021.

A memorial service will be held, Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 11:00 AM, at First Baptist Church, Odessa, Texas, with Pastor Byron McWilliams and Randy Beard officiating.

David was born in Canyon, Texas to Jenness L. Richardson and Sally W. Boswell, on August 26, 1938. He went to school in Morse. He married Anna Ruth Nipper on June 22, 1973, in Odessa, Texas. He also graduated from West Texas State University. He worked as a Manager and District Supervisor for TG&Y for 30 years. He was named Manager of the Year in 1969. At retirement, he became a member of Midland Gem and Mineral Society. He loved working with God's rocks by cutting, polishing and making beautiful jewelry and other crafts. He and his wife enjoyed many years of rock hunting and fellowship with dear friends and rockhounds. He also received many outstanding awards for his wire wrap and other designs at the annual rock and mineral shows. David loved fishing and hunting as well. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Odessa.

David is preceded in death by his father and mother, as well as sisters, Ivana Jones and Sally Rhodes.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Anna R. Richardson, daughters; Krystal Doss, and husband David, Pamela May, Theresia Vogel, June Morris and husband Christopher, brother-in-law, Joe B. Nipper; Grandchildren Brenda Rhodes, Jessica Lee, Richard Vogel, Makaylee Brewer, Lathen Frederick, Ashton Morris, and Payne Morris; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church Odessa, or Midland Gem and Mineral Society. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. J.B. Naidu, Dr. R. Borra, The West Texas Cancer Center, Texas Home Health, and the many loving health care workers who have provided exceptional service during this difficult time.
