Patricia A. (Daly) Rice, 88, of Franklin died on December 10, 2020 at Grace House in Windham, NH. She was the wife of the late William J. Rice, who died March 28, 2015.

Born in Boston on March 6, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Burns) Daly. Patricia was raised in Boston and was a resident of both Franklin, MA and Fort Myers, Florida.

"Pat" is survived by her children Karen Rice of Franklin, MA, William G. Rice of Florida, Patricia Brown (Joseph) of Bellingham, MA and Maureen Rice (Jason) of Plainville, MA. She is also survived by her sister Jeanette King (Thomas) of Middleboro, MA. She will join her late brother Richard Daly. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed cooking, dancing, music, boating, travel and all types of games. Pat worked for the telephone company as a directory assistance operator. She later worked at Rust Craft in Dedham, MA and met her future husband Bill Rice. They were married and started a family in 1954 and lived in Randolph and Franklin, MA. Patricia was a homemaker and loving wife.

Patricia had a talent for organizing and actually creating social clubs. One of which is still ongoing; the 5:00 social club at the pool at Boardwalk Caper her home on Fort Myers. She founded this club nearly 30 years ago! During retirement Pat and Bill enjoyed good health and were able to travel. Pat was known as a good friend to many, she had friends across the country and even overseas.

During retirement, Pat and Bill enjoyed going to the Cape and the islands. They traveled extensively and made many friends from around the world. One of Pat's greatest loves was spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Flowers are not permitted, expressions of sympathy may be made in Pat's memory to Grace House, 23 Mammoth Road, Windham, NH 03087.

Her funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church in Franklin, MA. on Monday, December 21 at 10:00 a.m. Please follow all required Covid-19 guideline including face coverings and social distancing. (You may view a live stream of the Mass at stmarysfranklin.org ). Burial will take place privately at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
