She loved crossword puzzles, coloring, cooking, gardening, and watching old westerns.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Clark; her brother, Robert Simpson; and her sister, Frances Simpson
Verna is survived by her son, Carl L. Clark (Tammy) of Shelbyville; her granddaughters, Cristen Clark and Holly Clark, both of Shelbyville; her great grandchildren, Ethan, Kaylee, Isaac, Noah, Felicity; and her brothers, Charles Simpson (Caroline) and Bernard Simpson, both of Dekalb, Illinois.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. August 20, 2021 at the Shannon Funeral Home. Visitation is 10 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial is at Grove Hill Cemetery.
