Joe Edd was born in Olney, TX on July 28, 1950 to Eula Mae and Don Chandler. He graduated from Throckmorton High School in 1968 and worked for Southwestern Electric Company for 27 years until his retirement. He loved living in Elbert, TX and hunting and fishing. He could be talked into a cold beer. Joe Edd loved his family and friends along with Nascar and in particular Dale Earnhardt. He was elected to be Throckmorton County Commissioner on July 16, 2015 and served proudly until he was unable to do so. Joe Edd was known for his compassionate spirit and country wit. He was always willing to help a friend or a stranger.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Don and Eula Mae Chandler.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sherri Chandler. His two children, Trenton and Tamara; and his sister Marlene Lukert and husband Mike.
