WENTZVILLE, MO - Ida Mae King, 91, died on June 11, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St Louis, Missouri.

She was born February 19, 1930, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Stanley Miller and Lucy Mae (Hancock) Ringel. She grew up in Hamlet, Ohio, moved to Amelia after marriage, and lived in Anderson Township since 1972. For the last two years she lived with her daughter in Wentzville, Missouri, A 1949 graduate of Amelia High School, she married Howard William King on July 5, 1952 at Amelia Methodist Church.

Her first job was as a keypunch operator with IBM in downtown Cincinnati and she loved to tell how she and her coworkers would go shopping on their lunch break After raising her children she worked for the Forest Hills School District in the lunchroom.

She was a member of Eastern Star. She was a leader in both Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts.

After retirement she enjoyed gardening and meeting Forest Hills School co-retirees for lunch.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 67 years; and her sisters, Ruth Bay and Marcella Niederhelman.

She is survived by her four children, Deborah (Ken) Flower of Wentzville, MO, John (Heidi) King of Bethel, Diane Gardner of Burlington, CT, and Steven (Trish) King of Bethel; 12 grandchildren, Katie (Chad) Lucas, Nathan, David (Amanda), and Andrew Flower of Wentzville, MO, Cory, Dustin, and Sierra King of Cincinnati, Dylan, Kelsey, Nicole, and Abby Gardner of Burlington, CT, and Hannah King of Bethel.; and 10 great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Flower, Addisyn, Cassidy, Shane, and Dylan Lucas, McKayla and Aiden Flower, Parker Trigg, Madison and Lanie Flower all of Wentzville, MO.

A memorial service will be held on Wed, Aug. 18, 2021 at Anderson Hills Methodist Church, 7663 Five Mile Road, Cincinnati, with presiding.

Interment will be in the Chapel of Spring Grove Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be held following the service.
