Virginia Baker Hagan, 69, of Oklahoma City went to be with Our Lord and Savior on November 23, 2007. She was born in 1938 in Lawton, Oklahoma to James Melvin Baker and Orphy Fay Cotton. The Baker family soon moved to Altus, Oklahoma where Virginia entered the school system where in high school she became a member of 'That Altus Band' by playing the trumpet and then in 1956 she graduated as an Altus Bulldog. Soon after graduation she married the love of her life with whom she had two daughters. Virginia and her girls moved back to Oklahoma after being away for 20 years. She later remarried and in 1983 became a security officer with the Bank of Oklahoma in their security control room until she medically retired in 1997.Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Melba Thomas and Charlene Cunningham. She is survived by her brother Bill Baker and wife Rosanna of Marysville, California; her daughter Mechelle Williams and husband Jeff of Oklahoma City; and her three beloved grandchildren Rebecca Rush, Andy Dennington and Trevor Williams. Virginia loved going to water aerobics at Rose State College, doing genealogy, fishing and spending time with friends and family. She is leaving behind numerous friends and family but we shall all meet again someday. The family would like to thank Hospice of Oklahoma County and our angels Julie, Karen, Micah, and Kathy. Special thanks to Dr. William W. Cook and Dr. Vatsala Shah for your caring and compassion. The celebration of Virginia's life will be held at the home of Jeff & Mechelle Williams on December 1, 2007 with interment at Altus Cemetery, Altus, Oklahoma.
