Thomas L. Myers, 72, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Morton County Hospital, Elkhart, Kansas.
He was born at the old Elkhart Hospital in 1948 to Claradean Schnurr. He was later adopted by his stepdad, Karl Myers.
Tom and Vickie L. Myers (Wares) were married July 23, 1976, in Elkhart, Kansas. They adopted their daughter, Jessie, in May of 1993. Vickie preceded him in death on April 6, 2016.
Tom later remarried Nita Myers (Goldman) in 2018.
Tom was a highly decorated Vietnam veteran in the United States Army. He was a member of the Elkhart Kiwanis, a former member of the United Methodist Men, and a former member of the Jaycees. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and especially making others smile and laugh.
Survivors include wife, Nita Myers, Elkhart, KS.; daughter, Jessica Myers, Tacoma, WA.; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be held Sunday, August 15, 2021, 5 PM, at the Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart, Kansas.
